What we store in your browser, and why.
Last Updated: November 2, 2026
ExcitPay is a product of Local Home Coupons Private Limited. This policy explains the cookies and similar storage used on excitpay.com. It is part of our Privacy Policy.
A cookie is a small text file a website saves in your browser. We also use your browser's device storage in the same way.
What we use
Login (session) cookie
What it is: Keeps you signed in. Not readable by scripts on the page (HttpOnly).
Why: Essential: without it you cannot sign in or use your wallet, bookings and profile.
How long: Until you sign out or the session ends
Security (CSRF) cookie
What it is: A random value that protects your signed-in requests from being forged by another site.
Why: Essential: keeps your account safe.
How long: Same as the login cookie
ep_vid, ep_sid
What it is: Random ids for this device and this visit. They hold no name, mobile number or email.
Why: Lets us count visits and fix problems without knowing who you are.
How long: Up to one year; the visit id is replaced after 30 minutes without activity
Device storage (localStorage)
What it is: Your recently viewed places, liked places and chosen city, kept on your device only.
Why: So the site remembers your choices.
How long: Until you clear your browser data
Analytics and advertising
- We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies on excitpay.com, and we do not sell cookie data.
- If we switch on a web analytics tool such as Google Analytics, it will set its own cookies to show us how the site is used in total. We will list it here before that happens.
Your choices
- You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the essential cookies means you cannot stay signed in.
- Clearing site data in your browser removes the device storage too.
- The ExcitPay Partner (vendor) panel is a separate site with its own sign-in cookie; it follows the same rules.
